NATIVES GREW CORN, SQUASH, BEANS, ONIONS AND MANY OTHER FOODS. THEY PLANTED IN THE SPRING, THEN TENDED THEIR GARDENS, WHILE PICKING SUMMER BERRIES, THEN HARVESTED THEIR GARDENS IN THE FALL (SEE BELOW), JUST LIKE WE DO.

FOODS WERE CARRIED TO STORAGE SHEDS TO KEEP THEM DRY AND AWAY FROM BUGS AND WORMS. MOST NATIVES STRORED ENOUGH FOOD FOR WINTER AND HAD SOME LEFT OVER TO TRADE FOR OTHER THINGS.
