Native American Indian Fishermen and Animals
NATIVE AMERICANS LIVED ON MEAT, FISH AND PLANTS, JUST LIKE WE DO. THEIR VILLAGES WERE BUILT NEAR WATER. BOTH MEN AND WOMEN CAUGHT OR COLLECTED FISH, FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.

      Duck
      Fish
      Crabs
      Turtles
      Fishtrap

Native American Indian Deer

DEER WERE USED BY NATIVE AMERICANS LIKE WE USE CATTLE. SHOES, COATS, TOOLS AND ORNAMENTS WERE MADE FROM HIDES, HORNS AND HOLVES. DURING THE RIGHT SEASON, MANY DEER WOULD BE TAKEN. THE MEAT WAS SALTED OR SMOKED FOR STORAGE; THE HIDES WERE STRETCHED AND CURED FOR MAKING LEATHER. OTHER ANIMALS, WHICH DIFFERED FROM PLACE TO PLACE IN AMERICA, WERE USED IN SIMILAR WAYS; ESPECIALLY BIRDS AND REPTILES.
